BJ member families of students in fourth grade are invited to our B-Mitzvah journey opening ritual. The entire Torah will be unrolled and each student will find the parashah (portion) that they will read when called to the Torah for their B-Mitzvah.
In celebration of Shabbat Shirah (Shabbat of Song), join us for a performance of music from the Balkans. The concert's original arrangements highlight the diversity and depth of the region's culture, from its exhilarating folk dances and virtuosic instrumental playing, to unique, piercing vocal sounds and Ladino songs beloved by its once-thriving Sefaradi Jewish community.
Bim Bam gives children under 3 a fun space to get ready for Shabbat through interactive songs, movement, and stories, while practicing traditions such as lighting candles and saying Kiddush.
Families will enjoy a kid-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat service filled with singing and dancing. Services will be followed by a dinner complete with Shabbat blessings and songs. While adults are finishing their meal, children engage in play and exploration.
