Join us to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah with song, candle lighting, Hanukkah-inspired refreshments, and a special performance by BJ’s teen band, Goldberg.
Help us put together 200 welcome backpacks with necessary toiletries and meaningful supplies for newly arrived asylum seekers in NYC. Leading up to Hanukkah, here’s how you can contribute:
- Purchase items from our wishlist to be delivered directly to BJ.
- Donate a new or gently used backpack at BJ between Thursday, December 1, and Friday, December 16. Backpacks can be dropped off weekdays from 8:00 AM-7:00 PM.
- Bring a $20 bill or $22 metrocard (which will be added to a backpack) with you to this event or to any BJ Hanukkah celebration.
