Weekday Evening Minyan
A Pilot of the Center for Prayer and Spirituality
Mondays-Thursdays | 6:30PM | Community House
We are excited to announce that, beginning on Monday, April 1, we will be starting a three-month pilot of an evening minyan at BJ, with the hope that—through communal engagement—it will become a long-term practice.
Supplementing our Monday Meditation Minyan, we will now be offering a traditional, egalitarian evening minyan on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6:30PM. This minyan will be led by BJ spiritual leaders, staff, and community members alike, and together with our morning minyan, will provide twice-daily opportunities to say kaddish in community. And—quite literally—we need you to help make it happen!
Coming to an evening program at BJ? Picking up your kids from Kadima? Come a little earlier or stay a little later, fulfill the mitzvah of enabling others to recite kaddish, and help sustain our community and the Jewish people.
Monday: Meditation Minyan, led by Yael Shy—featuring guided meditation, rather than a matbeah (liturgy)
Tuesday: Traditional Egalitarian Minyan
Wednesday: Traditional Egalitarian Minyan
Thursday: Traditional Egalitarian Minyan
Please note that the minyan will meet consistently at 6:30PM, and, depending on the time of sunset, will daven either minha or minha/ma’ariv.
