Memorial Plaques

Linking the Past to the Future

Memorial Plaque in BJ photo: Jacob Shemkovitz

Members of our community are invited to make a special contribution in memory of a loved one and have their name permanently inscribed on the black granite plaques at the rear of the sanctuary. This traditional way of expressing love and respect for our forebears and preserving their memory is also a way to support and sustain the BJ community.

“In loving testimony to their lives I pledge charity to help perpetuate ideals important to them. Through such deeds and through prayer and memory are their souls bound up in the bond of life.”

— Yiskor

Names are inscribed on the plaques during the winter and a beautiful dedication and memorial ceremony takes place in the early spring.

Donations begin at $1,800 for a single name and $2,400 to memorialize a couple. The total cost depends upon the number of characters to be inscribed.

If you would like to honor the memory of a loved one in this way, please submit the form below, and we will contact you to answer any questions you may have and to finalize the arrangements.

Please note: In order for inscriptions to be completed in time for the annual ceremony donations must be completed by December 15. So please contact us early.
