Moshe Samuels

Biography

Moshe Samuels is the CEO of Shazur—a nonprofit that curates immersive experiences, interpersonal encounters, and on-site learning, introducing Israelis to the building blocks of American Jewry and its contribution to the unfolding story of our people. He has served as a community emissary of the Jewish Agency in Birmingham, AL; an Israel fellow at the University of Western Ontario; delegation head to Camp Ramah in Canada; and educational director at Camp Ramah in the Rockies. He was the educational director of NOAM, the Masorti (Conservative) youth movement in Israel, and the director of “Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa,” BINA’s service-learning Masa program. Moshe founded The Wandering Jew, a consulting business for Jewish education, and recently ended a four-year tenure as the JAFI Shaliah and Director of Israel Engagement here at BJ. He currently serves as program director of the Sonabend Center for Israel at JCC Manhattan and is a facilitation associate with Resetting the Table.
