High Holy Days Mahzorim and BJ Volunteer Opportunities

As the B’nai Jeshurun community prepares for the Yamim Nora’im, we want to ensure that all are able to participate in virtual High Holy Day services from your homes with a Mahzor Lev Shalem (our High Holy Days prayer book). A number of options are below.

In addition, the Family Life and Learning team has developed a custom downloadable BJ family mahzor for our family services.

We want all members to be able to participate fully in High Holy Days services, and invite you to purchase a copy of Mahzor Lev Shalem.

Purchase a Digital Copy

The Rabbinical Assembly is now out of stock of the printed Mahzor Lev Shalem, but we invite you to purchase digital copies from the Rabbinical Assembly for $5.99 each.

Borrow a Hard Copy from BJ (current members only)

BJ members in good standing may borrow a mahzor from BJ. Please fill out this form to request a copy, and we’ll be in touch regarding delivery and pick-up options.*

If you have not yet renewed your BJ membership or joined our sacred community, we invite you to join us as we approach the High Holy Days. Learn more at our Membership page or contact Matthew Davey, our membership services manager. Especially in challenging times, community matters. And as always, your financial circumstance will not be a barrier to joining us.

* Local deliveries or pick-up only.

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering with BJ by making phone calls to new and continuing members, safely assisting home-bound members to facilitate their High Holy Days experience, or volunteering in any other way during the season, please fill out this form to let us know! A BJ team member will be in touch.

We look forward to gathering, praying, and reflecting with all of you as we look toward the new year with hope and renewal.
