After Haverim, your 7th grader will join the BJ Teens program. In the BJ Teens program we celebrate Shabbat together, have special learning opportunities, go on domestic and international trips, and continue to build our community. Throughout their 7th-grade year, your pre-teens will have an opportunity to learn more about the teen programs, including Moving Traditions.
What is Moving Traditions?
Rosh Hodesh (Sisterhood) and Shevet (Brotherhood), are small, single-gender, single-grade groups, led by Moving Traditions-trained adult mentors. The research-based and field-tested curriculum applies Jewish wisdom and values to teens in the issues they care about most, such as relationships, gender roles, healthy sexuality, social media, pressure, and stress. Our Moving Traditions groups continue beyond 7th grade, all the way into 12th grade, and are a bridge into our teen program. For the purposes of this 2 part Taste Of Moving Traditions opportunity for our Haverim class, your students can choose which of these two spaces they would like to participate in. After these 2 sessions, the hope is that your teen will join their group in the Fall 2023.

Our Taste of Moving Traditions Rosh Hodesh sessions will be led by Laura Schultze, and our Moving Traditions Shevet sessions will be led by Michael Harlow.
