Recurring Event Event Series: Shabbat Morning Services

Shabbat Morning Services

  • January 14 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

  • Venue:

Passionately traditional, boldly innovative, and deeply spiritual, Shabbat services at BJ are like no other. Join us on Shabbat mornings for soul-stirring prayer infused with melodies from across the Jewish world, brought to life by our extraordinary musicians and deepened by the wisdom of our tradition, calling us to renew our commitment to building a world of justice, dignity, and peace.

Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan-Simpson will give the sermon this Shabbat (for MLK weekend) on the story of Exodus, the legacy of MLK, and the call of the hour.

The Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan-Simpson became the president of Auburn Seminary on  October 1, 2021. Auburn is a leadership development and research institute that equips bold and resilient leaders of faith and moral courage to build communities, bridge divides, pursue justice, and heal the world. Founded more than 200 years ago by Presbyterians in upstate New York, Auburn is committed to “right relationship” with a truly multifaith, multiracial movement for justice.
