Beyond Tu Bishvat: Environmental Justice
January 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm

This Tu Bishvat, we are broadening our understanding of what it means to be stewards of the earth to include how our actions disproportionately impact oppressed communities. Building on the work of the BJ Environmental Advocates and the BJ Teen Executive Board Tzedek (Social Justice) Project, join us for a night to deepen our understanding of why equity and justice are important for the environmental movement. BJ is hosting this event as part of Hazon’s Big Bold Jewish Climate Fest. More information to come.
Panelists: Rabbi Isaiah Rothstein, Rabbi-in-residence for Hazon; Carlos Garcia, Energy Planner at NYC-EJA; Peggy Shepard, co-founder and executive director of WE ACT for Environmental Justice
