Connections

Mekusharim friendsWelcome to Connections, a group which provides social, Judaic and learning experiences in a variety of formats for the entire BJ community.

Our range of exciting and innovative programs includes many that are targeted to our adult community as well as some that are inter-generational.  All our events are intended to create meaningful opportunities for people to gather for learning and enjoyment.  We sponsor large events as well as smaller group events that allow for closer, more intimate get-togethers and community-building.

Brunch and a Special Screening of Laid to Rest

Sunday, November 10 | 10:30AM-1:00PM | Reception Room & Middle Room

Connections invites you to a special brunch, followed by a presentation of excerpts from the historic documentary Laid to Rest: Buried Stories of the Jewish Sex Trade, which investigates the forgotten story of Jewish sex trafficking in Argentina between 1880’s and 1930’s. Told by various storytellers, it draws parallels between the historical struggle of a specific Jewish immigrant community and today’s global sex trafficking problem. We are excited to welcome the filmmaker Ornit Barkai, who will share more about the film and the problems it brings to light.
