Join us for this monthly tradition. BJ teens are invited to welcome in Shabbat with a mindfulness-style Kabbalat Shabbat service followed by a delicious Shabbat dinner. This month, BJ teens are encouraged to fulfill the mitzvah of hakhnasat orhim (welcoming guests) by bringing a teenage friend from outside of the BJ community. Registration closes on Wednesday, November 28.

Calling all BJ teens! Spend a night providing food, clothing, blankets, and other necessities to those in need with Midnight Run, an NYC volunteer organization dedicated to finding common ground between the housed and the homeless.

We also need donations! We are specifically looking for warm clothing, jackets, blankets, socks, individually wrapped food items (granola bars, pretzels etc.), and travel sized toiletries. Please bring any donations to Michelle in the Family Life and Learning office on the 2nd floor.

Join Yozma (BJ members and friends in their 40s & 50s) for a moderate five-mile hike. We'll meet outside the BJ Sanctuary to take the subway together to the George Washington Bridge. From there, we will walk across the bridge and onto the trails of the Palisades overlooking the Hudson, before doubling back to return. The track is mostly flat, but there is some trail hiking.
