“Happy Hour” with Rabbi Dini Lewittes
Tuesday, July 23 | 6:00-8:00PM | Middle Room
Join Rabbi Dini Lewittes for a summer “happy hour,” while learning about the complicated story of wine and Judaism.
We will touch on biblical examples of wine drinking, what makes a wine kosher, and the complexities of how Judaism balances the centrality of wine with the risks of overindulgence. We will then enjoy some wine (of course!), as well as non-alcoholic beverages, light snacks, and conversation with friends.
This event is sponsored by Connections, which organizes social events for the entire BJ community and especially for older adults.
Tickets: $10 (BJ members)/$12 (non-members).
