Shira Averbuch, BJ Artist in Residence, with Paul Carbonara and more

On Thursday, June 27, join us for the first show in our summer concert series, featuring Shira Averbuch, Paul Carbonara of the band Blondie, and more.

Shira Averbuch, a New York-based international performer and songwriter, is currently BJ’s Artist in Residence. Born in Rochester, NY, to Israeli parents, Shira split her time growing up between Israel and the United States. After completing her service in the Israeli Army Band, she moved to New York City, where she fell madly in love with the concrete jungle. After having been cast in a few Off-Broadway shows, Shira met the incredible Paul Carbonara, former music director and guitarist of the pop band Blondie, when they worked together on Solitary Light at Axis Theater Company. A magical musical connection emerged and they’ve been musical partners ever since. Together they recorded Shira’s debut album, Till the Sun Comes.
