Teen Civil Rights Journey to Georgia and Alabama
Thursday, January 17–Monday, January 21, 2019 | Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia
8th and 9th graders, join us as we venture south to learn about the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, as well as explore the struggle for racial justice and equality happening today. Our partner organization, Etgar 36, is dedicated to developing the future political voice by taking Jewish teens on a journey through America and empowering them to get involved politically and socially to change the world. We will explore the link between Jews and the Civil Rights movement and understand why Jews, as a people who have known oppression, must care and act when others are oppressed. Cost is $1,450 per teen. Register by October 5.
In the case that you register and are no longer able to participate in the trip, please note our refund/cancellation policy. All can
If you cancel in writing after October 15, but before November 9, you will be responsible for 50% of the trip cost, and we will refund any amount already paid over 50% of the total trip cost.
After November 9th, there will be no refunds and you are financially responsible for the complete cost of the trip.
