Hike the South Mountain Reservation with BJ

The South Mountain Reservation is a historic nature reservation 40 minutes from NYC in Essex County, New Jersey. The hike boasts rivers, waterfalls, hills, and a historic lookout used by the American Army in the Revolutionary War.
B’nai Jeshrun Tze’irim members will hike the South Mountain Reservation, which is easily accessed by public transit by taking NJ transit (Penn Station) to Millburn, NJ. The hike can be between 6-9 miles depending on the preferences of the group members.
Participants should bring 1 liter of water, salty snacks, long pants (to prevent ticks), sunscreen, boots/athletic shoes and a hat.
