Employment Resources

BJ is acutely aware of the impact of the economic crisis on our community.  We continue to develop programs to assist our members who are unemployed or underemployed to get their careers back on track and to cope with emotional strain of the situation.  New programs will be listed here as they are scheduled.

Connect to Care

UJA-Federation of New York’s Connect to Care initiative provides employment services, financial services, and legal counseling free of charge for those impacted by the economic downturn. For more information about this program, or to make an appointment in Manhattan, Riverdale or Brooklyn,  contact  JBFCS, a lead agency for UJA-Federation’s Connect to Care, or call at 212 632-4602.  For fuller description and workshops click here.  To contact UJA-Federation’s Connect to Care Centers in other regions, click here.

Are You LinkedIn?

BJ encourages all members to join LinkedIn, the social networking site, and then to join the “B’nai Jeshurun – New York City” LinkedIn group. Find out why here. LinkedIn has fast become the place of choice for individuals and organizations looking for employees and consultants. For any questions and clarifications contact Denise Waxman.
